About
God's Word is sufficient for all of life.
Life is hard and many Christians are tempted to rely on worldly wisdom for life's problems. Others seek biblical help but are not sure how to apply truth to the practical issues of life. We know that the Word of God is perfect and necessary for a God honoring, joy filled life and we will walk with you and help apply it.
Gospel Centered Biblical Counseling and the local Church.
We prioritize meaningful involvement in the local church because we know that it is God's primary vehicle to build up and encourage you in your faith so that you might be growing in grace and in the knowledge of God. Therefore, we seek to partner with local churches to provide steadfast gospel centered biblical counseling.
Certified and trained biblical counselors.

Janice Sauer
Janice Sauer founded Gospel Centered Biblical Counseling in August of 2022. She is ACBC certified and has been counseling in her local church and for other non profits for over 13 years. Her passion for biblical counseling was born out of her own experience of physical suffering and the understanding that she gained through that suffering of how the Gospel applies to all of life. She is passionate about walking with others through the trials of life and watching as the word of God transforms their life all for His glory and their good. Janice is a wife of 35 years, mom of two daughters and grandmother of four.

Lara Kees
Lara Kees is an ACBC-certified counselor with a specialization in Addictions. She has a heart to serve and minister to those who have suffered in this life with addictions, abuse, and trauma. Lara has been involved in counseling women and serving churches through Hope For Addiction, a local non-profit, since 2019. As a recipient of God’s astounding grace in her own life, Lara’s greatest hope is to witness lives being transformed through the power of the Gospel. She is a wife, mother of three, and grandmother to one.

Glenn Kees
Glenn Kees has a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling degree from the Master's University and is ACBC-certified. As a fellow sinner who has been gloriously redeemed by God's grace, he has a Spirit-led desire to share God's wisdom for all of life's struggles through His sufficient word. Additionally, Glenn is a Husband, Father, and Engineer by training and vocation.

Devon Tarr
Devon Tarr is an ACBC Certified Counselor with an MA in Biblical Counseling from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a certificate in Trauma from Wheaton College Graduate School. She is a pastor’s wife married over two decades who has enjoyed serving alongside her husband in several churches in the Southeast before moving to Phoenix in 2022. She is mom to five kids 10-20 years of age and is the Training Director for RiverCross, a nonprofit that equips local leaders and caregivers of vulnerable children around the world to lead the children in their care to hope and healing in Christ. One of her favorite things about counseling is seeing Jesus bring hope to the hopeless and beauty from ashes in people’s lives.

Michelle Tedhams
Michelle Tedhams is ACBC certified and has been counseling in her local church for eight years, as well as with Hope for Addiction since 2024. As a non-believer, she went through secular counseling and was involved in 12-step programs but never found lasting change and true hope. As her heart was captured by Jesus, the real transformation began in her life, and true redemption happened through her experience with biblical counseling. It was out of this experience she became extremely passionate about caring for hurting women through their suffering with the power of the Gospel of Jesus. She is confident of the work God can and will do through His all-sufficient Word, by the power of His Holy Spirit.
